It feels like forever...
since I have updated. So much has been going on.
Elijah had surgery on Tuesday on his teeth. We had to be in Pittsburgh at 6:30am so we went up the night before. They ended up saving all his teeth but did several root canals, caps on two and filled several. They gave him 4 types of pain medicine and he slept til 8 pm that evening. Next morning mouth was sore. I think we are finally getting back to normal with him today. Eating has been much better today. We have been instructed to cut ALL sugary drinks from his diet. That process is very challenging.
We had Isaiah's pro-op appt in pittsburgh on Thursday. His surgery is 4/15. It will take 2-6 hours to complete. The surgeon informed us that he didn't know if he will be able to close his gum or not. I admit I was a little bummed about that. If they don't do it now then they will do it between 6-7 yrs old. Although I am sad I know the MASTER PHYSICIAN and we are trusting in him.
Isaiah went to see the peditrician on Monday. He had shots. but overall we got a great report. We agreed that it would be best if we waited until after surgery to start baby food.
Isaiah weighs 17 pounds. Elijah weighs 23 pounds. Not much difference in the size of the two now.
I know theres more but I swear I can't remember right now. I want to add a few pictures. We took the kids to the park and I got some great pictures. ENJOY!!!!

Just a quick update...
Isaiah weighs in at 16lbs and 13 ozs. His ears look fine. I thought with his fussiness and not eating well that something was wrong but I am happy to report that they couldn't find a thing wrong. Musta been the male genes that put him out of sorts for a few days!
Dr.V has deceided that he is going to be the record breaker... the bigest baby by surgery time! time is almost here so we will see.
Monday is Isaiah's 4month check up and Elijah's physical for surgery. Isaiah is due for shots...BOO HOO! MaKynzie has an eye appointment and then off to walmart to get Hannah Montana frames!

Never a dull moment...
Took Isaiah, a.k.a. MOOSE back to the dr today. Now weighing in at 16lbs and 5ozs. It was amazing that every dr and nurse that walked in today greeted him by saying something in regards to how big he is. Mostly it was HEY CHUNK!!! Boy he's a big baby. or may favorite... I wonder how much he's gained this week. We are so blessed to be in an office full of staff who cares about our baby like we do. They always ask about the girls and of course wanna know what funny thing Elijah has done this week.
I had both boys by myself today and it was interesting. Here is a conversation that took place between Elijah and one of the nurses... (She was trying to get him to stay in the room with us while dr worked on isaiah's NAM.)
Nurse: you gotta stay in here buddy.
Elijah: Toys, got toys?
Nurse: You want toys? wait here... Here comes toy # 1& 2 (books)
Elijah: after checking things out in the room for a few and then trying to get out again says "toys" (knowing there is a treasure chest out there)
Nurse: you like dinosaurs?
Elijah: dinosaur (in his own version of course)
Nurse: (goes and gets toy #3 a dinosaur that we named OUCHY cause of sharp edges)
Elijah: I hear choo choo
Nurse: U hear a choo choo? Where?
Elijah: in the bathroom
Nurse: U hear a choo choo in the bathroom? I don't hear a choo choo in the bathroom.
Elijah: (with a grin on his face knowing at that moment he outwitted the nurse says..) U wanna go look?
Needless to say Elijah got out the door and waving for her to go find toys. Which he led her straight to the treasure chest. (toy #4 came with us.) Thank goodness our appointment was over. I didn't have room for anything else.
As we were leaving Elijah waves and says "bye, gotta go get my popcorn" of course he remembered my bribe for him to be good. Some popcorn from the snack bar as we paid for the ticket.
Girls had parent teacher conferences today so I was busy with that. I rush back and made it to school with a few minutes to spare. While I was inside, Devon watched the girls and Elijah paly on the playground. It wa sgreat moment for them to burn so energy. I come outside to find Dana dragging her foot. She was complaining how much it hurt. After questioning what happened, I found out that Dana climbed to the top of the slide (prob 10 to 12 feet high) and jumped! yes I said jumped. I watched and seen she was walking on it but she she caught me looking the drama queen came out. She babied it but walked on it through the evening, Seemed sore but she really seemed ok. The she got up at 11:30 and came downstairs to go to bathroom. As soon as she saw daddy on the couch the tears started. I took her socks off and checked it. Couldn't see any swelling really and no bruising. After daddy helped her to the bathroom I gave her some medincine and wrapped it with an ace bandage. She got on the floor and crawled away towards the stairs laughing, so who knows. I guess I will see in the morning. Will keep you posted.
Everyones asleep so off I go to bed. Good night.
